The “3R” (reduce, reuse and recycle) principle has been significantly employed in processing ELVs (end-of-life vehicles), particularly ELV parts and methods to promote sustainable development. Motivated by legislation such as Directive (2000/53/EC), recently, ELV problems have seriously been treated in developing countries as well. This paper analyses the impact of newly developed equipment for ELV recycling on the sustainable development of the Republic of Serbia through environmental protection, resource exploitation and socio-economic factors. Research is carried out on the national and regional level. The proposed research and analysis show the significant contribution of newly developed equipment on the sustainable development of the Republic of Serbia and the region.en_US
