Terra Austeriana – Slika Njujorka u romanu Pola Ostera Mesečeva palata

Abstract

The paper examines the influence that outer, objective, somewhat fictionalized space, id est New York, has upon the shaping, that is to say construction and deconstruction of the inner space of the protagonist in Paul Auster’s novel MoonPalace.Special attention was paid to the analysis of literary techniques used by Auster in order to create the world of the novel, all the while the emphasis being placed on specific lexical choices made by the author.
