Abstract: In this paper we have examined the process of forming noun phrases with incongruent attributive adjectives in the collection of poems Utopljene duše (Drowned souls) by Vladislav Petković Dis. Our initial hypothesis was that the “decompositon” of Dis’s world could be noted on all levels of text, and then transfered to the all levels of the Dis’s language, including the process of forming noun phrases without a preposition. The genitive noun phrase without a preposition is understood as an unmarked feature on the structural level, while the partitive noun phrase (partitive, residue + abstract noun in genitive) is highlighted as the primary meaning on the semanitc level. We have followed the exceptions on the structural level, as well as the processes of broadening the meaning on the semantic level.
