Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has forced schools to switch to online teaching and learning from home. In this situation, everyone had to adapt to the new conditions and the way of teaching. In this paper a survey was conducted on a sample of class teachers who taught mathematics during the state of emergency (N = 188) in order to examine the following: how teachers implemented online mathematics teaching; what difficulties they had when harmonizing their work plan with the plan determined by the state; how they prepared for online teaching of mathematics; whether they are satisfied with their own organization and implementation of online teaching of mathematics and what their views on the implementation of online learning in regular teaching of mathematics are. The results of the research have shown that the majority of teachers implemented the teaching of mathematics through Viber groups and using the national platform; most of them had difficulties in harmonization of the curricula with their own work plans; they independently prepared for teaching; most of them are not completely satisfied with online teaching of mathematics, yet, they could use online contents as assistance to regular teaching.
