| Abstract: | Functional stylistics among others realizes one subcategory reserved for an essay. The 'no man' territory it belongs to does not deprive this secondary functional style of its importance, on the contrary, it allows for a blend of components of other primary functional styles that interweave and result in the exceptional composition of an essay. In this study we suggest a comparative analysis of two great Serbian and Canadian authors, Jovan Ducic and Margaret Atwood, whose essay style overlaps in some aspects of writing and becomes remote in others. |
