| Abstract: | The aim of the text is to provide an overview of the idea of ethics and politics which lies at the core of the novel Nostromo by Joseph Conrad. In this political novel, the writer gives a panoramic view of the modern world and a profound analysis of the position of politics, ideology and material interests within that world. The focus of the paper is on the way in which Conrad explores human nature in relation to society and politics. |
