Abstract: In the paper, the author analyzes the specifics related to the working hours of employees in health care institutions. Due to the nature of the work they perform, the working hours of employees of employers engaged in the provision of health services are organized in a way that is special in relation to the provisions of general labor regulations, but also in relation to other employees in the public sector. In the case of employees in health institutions, there are special forms of overtime work, but also standby, as the time during which the employee is available to perform tasks for the employer, after the end of his working hours.
