Abstract: This scientific work analyzes the concept of human rights under the challenges of the green transition in Europe. The right to a healthy environment receives its full affirmation through adoption European Green Deal. In order to alleviate the consequences of the imbalance and mismatch between the development of society and the preservation of nature, the European Union is intensifying normative activity in the field of environmental protection. The Republic of Serbia as a candidate for membership in The European Union is obliged to make its policy and legal the system adapts to such trends. This question becomes especially important after our country's accession to the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. New social conditions created under the influence of green ideas, offer new directions for the development of the corpus of human and minority rights.
