Abstract: The inheritance contract is a legal transaction by which the contractual testator disposes of his property in the case of death in favor of the heirs - co-contractors. The fact that it is about the disposal of property in the case of death in the form of a contract implyes the complex legal nature of this institute, which is reason for this institute to be at the center of legal doctrine debates. This institute is disputed due to deviation from the basic principles of testamentary disposal, such as revocability, which, in the opinion of somel lawyers, endangers and limits the freedom to manifest the testator's last will. On the other hand, there are views that contractual inheritance should be viewed in a broader context, as a manifestation of mortis causa autonomy.
