Abstract: The dialectical play of good and evil as the face and the reverse of the same coin was a question that Bertolt Brecht, the most famous German dramatist of the 20th century and the founder of the epic theater, pondered obsessively. This was reflected in his dramatic works, of which the drama The Good Person of Szechwan stands out because it represents the rounded whole of his philosophy on the dialectic of good and evil, according to which there are both good and evil in every human being, which will be manifested through human actions depending from the external (social, economic, social) impulse. This paper will focus methodologically and theoretically on the concept of mutual conditioning of good and evil both in this and in Brecht's earlier theater pieces, in the context of the philosophy of marxism and the Chinese philosophical direction of Mohism
