Title: O ISTINI, DUŠI, HUMANITETU I OSTALIM MAGLINAMA: „ANTROPOLOŠKA TRILOGIJA“ BORISLAVA PEKIĆA
Authors: Lojanica, Marija V.
Issue Date: 2023
Abstract: The paper examines the principal ideological, thematic, and semiotic layers of the novels comprising Anthropological Trilogy by Borislav Pekić: ontological and epistemological status of literary texts and subjects, considering the literary mechanisms of deconstructing the concepts upon which the logocentric logic that informs the identity of Western civilization has grounded the human principle. By postulating that Pekić interprets the human as a function of ontological and ideological discourses, and, accordingly, understands it as a highly dispersive and ambiguous semiotic structure, we have attempted to elucidate the central blank of the novels as the confluence of radical postmodern skepticism towards sustainability of the humanist project and deeply human belief in the epistemological potential of literature.
