It is well known that in the last decade the issue of environmental protection and preservation has gained extreme importance in many aspects; one of them, which is definietly important, is the introduction of the new, so called "green" technologies in metal forming. To that purpose, in addition to the development of procedures for applying coatings, dry lubricate films and similar, particulat attention is given to the development of new lubricant, which do not contaminate the environment when they are removed, and are as efficient as traditional lubricants. The paper presents the summary of researches in this area with recommendations for application of ecological lubricants ("Freindly lubricants") in particular procedures of metal forming.en_US
