The paper contains an integral approach to the analysis and formability problem solution in deep drawing. The first phase contains the complete investigation of material (mechanical properties, formability indicators, forming limit curves, tribology characteristics, structure and, eventually, chemical composition. Further follows the identification of critical areas, failure kinds, determination of strain fields and definition of strain paths in forming limit diagram. The next phase presents the investigation of lubricants and observed tribology effects (”galling” etc.). The final result gives the necessary characteristics of the process, tools, machines and materials.en_US
