Abstract: The ecology is one of the most important subjects during the past years. The IC engines are usually considered as main culprits for the environmental pollution. Because of this, the automotive engineers are looking for the adequate alternative. Mostly are considering electric vehicles. However, the electric vehicles are just emission dislocation, and not it removal. The best possible solution are maybe hybrid vehicles. However, this vehicles are also having IC engines, so maybe a good option are and alternative fuels. One of the cleanest fuels is hydrogen. In this paper was conducted the experimental investigation of the IC engine work with hydrogen. How hydrogen has a very high combustion speed, it is very hard to be used as the fuel, if the injection parameters are not adequate. It were tested several injection principles, and it was found the optimal parameters for the hydrogen injection. In all cases, the injection was directly into the engine working space.
