Abstract: The subject of this paper includes microtoponyms observed in the villages located in the basin of the Lugomir river and its tributaries (the Zupanjevka/Nadrljka and the Dulenka). The examined points extend from Gledic mountains in the west to the mouth of the Lugomir into the Velika Morava in the east. The material from the settlements in the river basin of the Zupanjevka/Nadrljka and the Dulenka was collected by interviewing dialect speakers. Microtoponyms from the settlements in the Lugomir basin had already been collected by Jovanka Radic, and the material was published in the journal Contributions to Onomatology (In Serbian: Onomatološki prilozi, see Radic 1986). In this paper, single- element microtoponyms of the appellative origin were analyzed. The corpus included approximately 270 microtoponyms. The aim of this paper was to collect microtoponyms and analyze them from the semantic and formational aspect. According to the semantic analysis, the material is classified into the appropriate semantic groups and subgroups. We use the classification method in the formational analysis of the material as well. The result of the conducted analysis provides insight into layers of toponymy of the southeast Sumadija (Levac) and western outskirts of Pomoravlje. It was observed that most of the names of physiographic objects are motivated by geographical terms, while, in general, Cultural toponyms (civilization objects and concepts) mostly include microtoponyms motivated by appellatives related to crop farming. The formational analysis showed that in the group of non-derived microtoponyms, the largest number are geographical terms, agricultural terms and names of commercial objects. The most productive suffixes are: -ište, -ak/-jak and -ar/-ara.
