The Holocaust is an aporia: of history, thought, theories, discourses, (post)metaphysics, subject, modernism, enlightenment, humanism, theology, esthetics (…), and, consequently, an aporia of presentation, narration, poetics, and novel. The paper calls attention to the aporetic, apophatic and negatively semiotic poetics of Kis’s Hourglass via which the novel – ahistorical, apoetical, alogical, achronological – speaks out about the Holocaust.en_US
