USLUGE SOCIJALNE ZAŠTITE – POSEBAN OSVRT NA GRAD KRAGUJEVAC

Abstract

In the paper, the author points to a large number of social protection services that are extremely important for their users. These services are provided as support and assistance to the individual and the family, for the purpose of improvement, i.e. preserving the quality of life and creating opportunities for independent living in society. Special emphasis in the text is given to the Center for Social Work in Kragujevac, as well as numerous other social protection institutions and providers of these services in the city of Kragujevac. The aforementioned services ensure the acquisition of practical skills, the development and maintenance of the user's social and physical functions, and we distinguish between social, health, educational and assistance services in organizing daily life. Due to the difficult economic situation in our society, as well as the increase in domestic violence, the need to provide social protection services is growing more and more, both in the Republic of Serbia and in the city of Kragujevac. We expect that this situation will change in the future, i.e. the need to provide the aforementioned services will decrease, and the possibility of more adequate provision of services by social protection institutions to their users will increase.
