Abstract: | In this paper, we discussed the onomastic data collected in the village of Igroš, near Brus (in the Rasina District). The aim of this paper is to list microtoponyms and anthroponyms and analyze them from a semantic and structural aspect. The conducted analysis showed the diversity of the microtoponymic and anthroponymic images. Observed from a semantic point of view, among the 117 recorded microtoponyms we find names conditioned by the physiographic properties of the soil and names conditioned by the names of civilizational objects and concepts. From a structural point of view, all microtoponyms can be divided into single-membered and multi-membered. In a separate paragraph, we also analyze microtoponyms derived from proper names. The subject of the analysis was also the surnames and first names of the people who live in this village, and we also bring some remarks about hypocoristics. Among male names of Slavic origin, the most common are derivates Goran and Zoran, but also complex Slavic names: Bratislav, Miroljub, Slavoljub. The most common Slavic female names are Dragana, Dragica, and Milica. The most common male names of Christian origin are Aleksandar and Stefan, and the most common female names of Christian origin are Jelena, Marija, Danijela, and Kristina. Finally, we find several male and female names that have foreign origins: Igor, Saša, Uroš, Nataša, Tamara. We especially note that, like female hypocoristics (Ruža, Sneža), male hypocoristics most often occur in the third type of declension (Voja, Slava, Sloba). At the end of the paper, there is also a register of recorded microtoponyms. |
