Abstract: | The constitutional-legal analysis of the Constitution of SFRY from 1974 cannot be complete, unless all aspects of its content are taken into account. In this sense, the non-normative parts of the constitutional text deserve appropriate research attention, in order to gain a full idea of the constitution maker's projection. The treatment of the preamble is a constant topic of constitutional-legal science and the theory of the state and law, so the presented work contributes to a better understanding of this part of Yugoslav constitutional history. A contemporary look at the archived text from half a century ago requires an appreciation of the specific linguistic and stylistic environment of socialist constitutionalism, in order to reach objective conclusions. For these reasons, the research is not burdened with axiological evaluations of classic constitutional norms from the point of view of the political consequences of the 1974 SFRY Constitution in relation to the state and state integrity. The paper is designed so that the introduction to the problem represents the starting point for the analysis of the structural composition of the text of the Constitution of the SFRY from 1974 and the determination of the position of the preamble in that structure, along with a parallel analysis of basic constitutional principles that also have a nonnormative capacity. |
