The electric vehicles are promoted as the future of the automotive industry. However, the weakest point of the electric vehicles is their driving range and battery mass, which are tightly connected with the battery capacity. In order to determine the influence of the exploitation conditions on the necessary battery capacity, it was conducted the analytical calculation, trough mathematical model based on the drive‐dynamic vehicle calculation. For the calculation was taken the driving distance of 100 km, with variable exploitation conditions such are the vehicle speed, road slope and drag coefficient of the vehicle. By application of the Taguchi method, it was developed the experimental plan for the analytical calculation, what was necessary for the ranking of the influential share of the exploitation conditions on the battery capacity.en_US
