FRAZEOLOGIZMI SA KOMPONENTOM KAMEN

Abstract

The paper examines phraseological expressions in Serbian language that contain the lexeme stone. The aim of the presented research was to establish a structural classification of the phraseological units according to the traditional method. The analysis showed that the analysed units can be classified into two main groups – syntagmatic and sentential. It is concluded that certain lexical or morphological variations do not result in a change of the global phraseological meaning, but serve mainly as intensifiers, or contribute to a more explicit meaning of the phrase.
