dc.description.abstract© 2020 IEEE. This paper focuses on analyses phase in development of the information system for monitoring, diagnosing and visualization of scoliosis ScolioMedIS. A major problem in healthcare information systems is the failure to understand institutional and individual user expectations and requirements. By analyzing the users' needs and requirements we concluded that the information system ScolioMedIS needs to have ability to record visual examination of patients with scoliosis using electronic scoliosis forms, based on an innovative protocol. Also, it should enable 2D and 3D visualizations of back-surface's point clouds, back symmetry line and middle spinal line, as well as automatic determination of Cobb angles and other relevant parameters for scoliosis in the frontal and sagittal planes. The system should be based on two non-invasive modalities: Formetric DIERS rasterstereography scanner and digital camera.-
