Abstract

The subject of the author’s considerations are the new provisions of the Law on housing and maintenance of apartment buildings, which for the first time in our country introduces professional management of apartment buildings. The author introduces this topic to the readers by defining the management and the method in which it can be delegated to the professional manager. Then, the author presents the analysis and critical overview of the provisions regulating the following issues: - passing a decision on the appointment of a professional manager by a building community; - imposing professional management by appointing a building administrator by an enforcement decree; -requirements for performing the job of a professional manager; - jurisdiction of professional managers. In the conclusion of the paper, the author points to the advantages and weaknesses of the new provisions, giving suggestions for their correction.
