Abstract: Since the arrival of the first car number of vehicles is rapidly increasing, and with increase of vehicles the emission of harmful gases is increasing as well, this is one of the reasons for the application of new materials in industry. One type of those new materials are nanocomposites which have one or more dimensions less than 100nm. Their utilization in automobile industry has increased due to constant demand of reducing vehicle weight, fuel consumption, and exhaust gases emission, which all directly affect environmental pollution. In the aim of reducing vehicles’ weight, there is a need for new lightweight and strong materials which can be obtained by different base and reinforcements combinations, as well as amount of reinforcement. If the combination of one reinforcement in the base material doesn’t meet the requirements then it is possible to add more different reinforcements thereby forming hybrid nanocomposites. Benefits of application of nanocomposites are great, and they are reflected in the improvement of the production rate, environmental and thermal stability, less wear parts, reduction of vehicles weight, and environmental pollution.
