Title: IRONIJA I PARODIJA U DELU „ISKUPLjENjE“ IJANA MEKJUANA
Authors: Lazić, Katarina
Journal: Lipar, časopis za književnost, jezik, umetnost i kulturu
Issue Date: 2023
Abstract: The paper has primarily dealt with the concept of irony and parody in Ian McEwan’s novel Atonement and how the author made use of them. The theoretical frame hereby employed includes the following works: Linda Hutcheon’s Irony’s edge and A theory of parody and Dragan Stojanović’s Irony and meaning. Taking everything into account, the writing of Ian McEwan has represented a very fertile ground for the analysis from the perspective of irony and parody. Having in mind the nature and the extent of this work, only a limited number of examples has been employed, the fact that leaves room for some more thorough and comprehensive analysis.
