dc.description.abstractBy analysing the forces in legs of the hydraulic scissors lift using symbolic variables, the expressions for stress have been derived. Novel Harris hawks optimization algorithm had been used in order to get the optimal values of variables that present geometrical characteristics of the cross section of the hydraulic scissors legs, for the given scissors lift. By connecting the optimal cross sections across the length of the scissors lift legs, optimal geometric shape of the scissors lift legs had been acquired, and displayed in this paper.en_US
