Title: COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT HVAC SYSTEMS IN BUILDING DESIGN – EXPERIENCES IN THE WORLD
Authors: Nikolic, Danijela
Bojic, Milorad
Issue Date: 2010
Abstract: This paper compares the application of various heating and air conditioning systems in building designs for various types of buildings, whereby the comparison is made according to energy, environmental and economic criteria. Energy efficiency of primary energy use is the energy criterion, emissions of greenhouse gases during the life cycle of the building is the environmental criterion, while the annual energy costs represents the economic criterion. Additional criteria are also used: security of energy management and reliability of using these energy systems. According to available data and based on these criteria, the paper provides a critical analysis and guidelines for the selection of HVAC systems in our environment.
