| Abstract: | The paper investigates the correlation between the tragic and the comic, determining the role of comedy as a socially engaged form and the comic as a theatrical dominant in the age of transition. The aforementioned is explored by using the examples of the plays performed in Knjaževsko-srpski Teatar in Kragujevac¸ at JoakimFest, the festival of the best theatrical performances as per domestic authors. |
