dc.description.abstractDetailed theoretical, experimental and numerical investigations are carried out in this paper with the aim to determine the most appropriate technology of spot welding of reliable automotive assemblies. Before choosing the weld technology, we first determined the most important mechanical properties of the base material in different directions and on a great number of test workpieces. Microstructure of the spot welded joint is determined on metallographic samples obtained from the spot welded joints. The tensile test and "torsional moment method" were used in choosing the most suitable spot welding regime, they were also used for verification and improvement of the numerical model.en_US
