Abstract: Stable supply of the market with natural gas is the main reason for the wider application of this fuel in vehicles. This is due to the economic and environmental advantages of using this fuel compared to the classic vehicle drive on gasoline or diesel fuel. The aim of this paper is to highlight how important natural gas as a fuel in vehicles is. Also, attention is drawn to the fundamental differences between the methods of storage of liquefied natural gas, as well as to differences between the devices and the equipment for supplying the engine with the fuel, in comparison with the case when the natural gas in vehicles is stored under high pressure in the gaseous aggregate state. The differences are indicated by the series of amendments within the UNECE Regulation No. 110, which regulates in more detail the issue of the use of natural gas in vehicles.
