Abstract: When carrying out production processes in the company of the furniture manufacturing industry, various types of waste are generated as by-products, which can result in soil, water, and air pollution. Every company in This activity should consider different possibilities and ways to minimize waste generation, due to energy and economic reasons as well as reasons related to environmental protection. Implementing measures to reduce waste generation contributes to increasing the efficiency and profit of the company through: reduction of the amount of materials and raw materials used as input to each production process; reorganization of the process with a tendency to greater reuse of accompanying side products; better management and organization of the process; etc. The mentioned measures also contribute to the greater protection and safety of employees within the company itself. This paper pointed out different possibilities and ways of reducing waste generation in a furniture production company, starting from the process of procurement of raw materials, timber, and up to the transportation of the finished product.
