BIOSTIMULANTS AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

Modern agriculture faces the challenge of increasing productivity while preserving natural resources and reducing environmental impacts. Biostimulants have attracted increasing attention as environmentally friendly tools for improving crop productivity, nutrient use efficiency, stress tolerance, and the sustainability of agricultural systems. The aim of this paper is to review the potential applications of biostimulants in modern agriculture, with particular emphasis on beneficial microor...

Comparative analysis of methods for the investigation of brake wear particles emission of railway vehicles

The braking systems of railway vehicles are a key element for the safe and efficient operation of trains. Although according to official reports, the railway sector contributes less than 1% to total PM emissions in Europe, PM concentrations in enclosed spaces of underground railways are of great concern due to the confined nature of these spaces. Numerous studies have identified brake wear as the primary source of these emissions, as particles are generated during the braking process, under c...

Variation in susceptibility of selelected wheat genotypes to Rhisopertha dominica

Lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae) represents one of economically most important primary pests of durable commodities in storages. It primarily feeds and develops on products with high level of starch, such as wheat. Recently, it has become a pest of growing importance for wheat because losses often exceed economic thresholds. The aim of this study was to investigate susceptibility of 30 Serbian wheat genotypes to R. dominica. The collected genotypes include d...

Soil health and environmental safety criteria for organic fertilizers

his review highlights the importance of continuous monitoring of soil and organic fertilizer quality to prevent contamination by toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and radionuclides. Key indicators of soil health, including chemical, biological, and functional parameters, are discussed. Proper management ensures safe agricultural production, urban land use, and recreation areas. The study emphasizes evidence-based criteria for maintaining soil integrity, environmental safety, and sustainabl...

Nanoformulations of mushroom extract: potential for clean-label food additives

The increasing consumer demand for clean-label food products has intensified the search for natural alternatives to synthetic food additives. Conventional additives, although effective, are often associated with negative consumer perception and potential health concerns, driving the food industry toward natural, sustainable, and multifunctional ingredients. Edible and medicinal mushrooms represent a promising source of bioactive compounds, including β-glucans, phenolic compounds, polysac...

Plant Signaling anf Functional Capabilities of Plants

This study examines the signaling potential of certain plant species, particularly higher plants, as bioindicators of heavy metal (HM) and other toxicant presence in agroecosystems and technogenic soils. The work focuses on the structural-functional and physiological-biochemical characteristics of plants capable of accumulating and removing HMs and various pollutants, emphasizing their practical relevance for environmental monitoring and remediation. Specific attention is given to mechanisms ...

CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS OF A RADIAL HYDRAULIC MOTOR DRIVE FOR HEAVY DUTY MILITARY VEHICLES

The increasing demand for highly mobile specialized vehicles has encouraged the development of alternative drive concepts capable of improving mobility, reliability, and operational flexibility. Radial hydraulic motors represent a promising solution due to their favorable torque characteristics and efficient operation under demanding conditions. This paper investigates the potential application of radial hydraulic motors in heavy wheeled vehicle drive systems. The proposed concept is analyz...
